The sungkaan is a wooden block used in playing sungka. It is usually shaped like a boat  with the ends artfully rounded, comes in different  designs like carabao, lizard, fish. The surface of sungkaan has two rows  of seven circular holes with two large holes at the end of each side called
mother head. The fourteen small holes are called houses with a capacity of a handful of shells, seeds, beans (candy) are used as tokens, The game revolves around two people, each aiming to outdo the other by accumulating as a many tokens as he can into the mother hole according to certainrules of distribution
